Vehicle Use and Insurance Requirements
- Use of Personal Vehicle: If you are using your personal vehicle for deliveries, you are responsible for verifying that your auto insurance policy explicitly covers business use.
- By signing the acknowledgment form, you confirm that you have checked with your insurance provider and that your policy includes adequate business-use coverage.
- Sparks Florist’s insurance does not extend to personal vehicles. Sparks Florist does not assume liability for accidents or damages occurring while using your personal vehicle.
- If you use your personal vehicle for business purposes, you acknowledge and agree to maintain adequate insurance coverage as required by Nevada law, including coverage for business use. You understand and agree that Sparks Florist is not responsible for damages, accidents, or liability arising from the use of your personal vehicle unless such damages or liability are caused by the direct negligence or wrongful acts of Sparks Florist or its agents. To the extent permitted by Nevada law, you agree to indemnify and hold Sparks Florist, its agents, and employees, harmless from and against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney’s fees and costs) resulting directly from your willful misconduct or gross negligence in connection with the use of your personal vehicle for business purposes. This indemnification obligation does not apply to claims or damages caused by factors beyond your control, nor does it relieve Sparks Florist of its responsibility to provide a safe work environment or comply with all applicable laws.
Substance Abuse Policy and Worker’s Compensation
- For personal accidents resulting in an injury while on the job, you must report the injury immediately to Sara Fiannaca and she will provide next steps.
- Sparks Florist prohibits the use or possession of drugs, alcohol, or other substances that impair performance during work hours. This includes impairment from THC or prescription drugs unless disclosed and approved.
